The camera cube comes out. That's the whole reason I'd recommend this one.
I want to start with the thing that makes the PRVKE different from almost every other bag in this list, because it changes what the bag is rather than just how well it performs.

Access is thought through for both of those lives. Side quick access gets you to the camera with the bag still on your shoulder, so you're not putting anything on wet ground to catch a moment. Rear clamshell access opens the whole thing flat when you want to pack properly or dig something out at home. And the roll-top expansion means the bag grows when you need it and cinches down when you don't ā genuinely useful on a trip where you leave light and come back with more than you planned.
Materials are the part that makes it a travel bag rather than a city one. Weather-resistant tarpaulin and nylon handle real conditions, not just a light shower. There's a padded laptop sleeve, a tripod and bottle pocket for the awkward tall things, and a hidden passport pocket ā which I always flag, because a dedicated home for the one document you cannot replace is worth more peace of mind than it costs.
The contoured harness is comfortable with a dense camera load, and I'd note that camera gear is heavier per litre than almost anything else you'll carry, so a proper harness matters more here than in a bigger bag with lighter contents.
